Chocolate Kinder Christmas Trees (Printable)

Stacked Kinder bars with melted chocolate and sprinkles create a festive holiday delight.

# What You'll Need:

→ Chocolate Bars

01 - 24 mini Kinder chocolate bars or similar

→ Chocolate Drizzle

02 - 5.3 oz dark or milk chocolate, chopped
03 - 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)

→ Decorations

04 - 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles or edible glitter
05 - 8 mini chocolate stars or candy stars

# Directions:

01 - Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
02 - Unwrap all mini Kinder bars. For each tree, stack three bars by placing one whole bar, then one broken in half overlapped to form a triangle, and finally one more bar on top to create height, shaping them like a tree.
03 - Arrange the stacked bars spaced apart on the prepared tray.
04 - Combine chocolate and coconut oil in a heatproof bowl. Melt over simmering water or in 20-second microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
05 - Generously drizzle the melted chocolate over each stacked tree using a spoon or piping bag to mimic branches.
06 - Sprinkle festive glitter or sprinkles over the drizzled chocolate, then place a mini chocolate or candy star on top of each tree before the chocolate sets.
07 - Refrigerate the decorated trees for 10 to 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
08 - Serve chilled or at room temperature.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Kids can actually help without your kitchen ending up in complete ruins (well, mostly).
  • Takes minutes but looks like you spent hours on something fancy.
  • A single batch satisfies that craving for something both whimsical and deeply chocolatey.
02 -
  • Timing on the decoration step is everything—wait even 30 seconds too long and your sprinkles will slide right off like they're betraying you.
  • If your chocolate seizes and becomes grainy, it usually means water got into it; start fresh and add that coconut oil because it honestly saves the day.
03 -
  • A piping bag makes you look more skilled than you are and gives you better control over the drizzle pattern—but honestly, a spoon works just fine if that's what you have.
  • Keeping your chocolate warm in that bowl of simmering water means it stays pourable for as long as you need, so you can work slowly without it stiffening up on you.
